Our story
Grandpa Lynn’s Seasoning was developed over 40 years ago by Ivin Lynn—a retired farmer and avid hunter in northern Wyoming. He was known among his friends and family for his antelope jerky, but he was never quite satisfied with the commercially available seasonings he’d find in the store. So he set about developing his own.
It took years of trial and error, but when he finally got it right, he knew he had something special on his hands. It tasted great on his jerky and the turkeys he’d smoke in his hand-dug backyard pit. But as he shared it with friends and family, they all reported back about how good it was on—well, everything. People were using it in soups, vegetables, hash browns, french fries—one person even sprinkled it on their apples (try it—really).
After much encouragement, Ivan began bottling his seasoning and selling it in local grocery stores. After his death in 1994, his granddaughter, Lynn, took over operations and still runs it today as a small family business. Grandpa Lynn’s Seasoning, as it was originally formulated over 40 years ago, is currently available locally in a limited number in northern Wyoming—as well as nationally online. We hope you’ll visit our store and discover it for yourself.
